Conner Family Health Clinic offers Botox injections
Botox for migraines
BOTOX® is the only FDA-approved, preventive treatment that is injected by a doctor every 12 weeks for adults with Chronic Migraine (15 or more headache days a month, each lasting 4 hours or more). BOTOX® prevents up to 9 headache days a month (vs up to 7 for placebo). BOTOX® therapy is not approved for adults with migraines who have 14 or fewer headache days a month.
For crows feet and forehead wrinkles
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of both moderate to severe crow’s feet lines and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.
For hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
Botulinum toxin injections are used to treat excessive sweating. A weak form of Botox is injected into several areas of your underarms. Normally, there is little pain or discomfort.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved this treatment for the underarms. Findings from some research studies suggest that this treatment may be effective for other areas of the body. It may help post-menopausal women who sweat excessively on the head. It may be effective for excessive sweating that affects the hands and feet.
How it works: The injections temporary block a chemical in the body that stimulates the sweat glands. Most patients notice results 4 to 5 days after receiving treatment.
Reduced sweating lasts about 4 to 6 months — and sometimes longer. When the excessive sweating returns, you can be retreated.
6 THINGS TO EXPECT WITH BOTOX ® COSMETIC TREATMENT
- Real, noticeable results—you may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for treatment of moderate to severe frown lines. Results may vary.
- Some patients report that being injected with BOTOX® Cosmetic feels like a pinch.
- The actual injection time takes ≈ 10 minutes. Dr. Conner will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you.
- You will look just like yourself – only with less noticeable frown lines and crow’s feet.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a technique-sensitive treatment. You should not lose the ability to show expression when you are treated by someone who is licensed, trained, and a medical expert in facial anatomy.
- You can return to your daily routine.
Treatment requires minimal downtime or recovery; it’s often called a lunchtime procedure. You’ll be able to go about your normal routine immediately after you leave your provider’s office.
- Cost considerations
Your cost not only includes the price of the product, but more importantly, the skill and expertise of the doctor or healthcare professional who is administering your treatment.
