Conner Family Health Clinic Lab Services

Our clinic has a phlebotomist as well as an in-house laboratory for patients in need of laboratory work at the time of their appointment and/or for those who are just in need of lab work.

Having both a phlebotomist and in-house laboratory allows us to have results to some labs immediately. These include tests such as the rapid strep test, the flu test, the diabetes monitoring test-hemoglobin A1c, pregnancy test and urinalysis.

Other laboratory tests include but are not limited to the following:
Anemia Screening Panel (Ferritin, CBC, Iron, TIBC) This panel checks various markers that could be causing anemia. For best results, an 8-12 hour fast is recommended prior to testing. Value-$329. Your Price-$100.

Basic Metabolic Panel – Sodium and Potassium are important for nerve and muscle function. Bicarbonate and Chloride levels are related to the body’s acid-base balance and abnormalities can cause weakness or fatigue. The BUN and Creatinine tests assess your kidney function. Elevated levels may suggest dehydration or a kidney problem. The Glucose test screens for diabetes by measuring your blood sugar level. Value-$50. Your Price-$25.

Blood Type with Rh – This test will report your ABO Blood Type as A, B, AB, or O. Your blood type is determined when your blood is mixed with antibodies to determine whether an interaction occurs. Value-$70. Your Price-$42.

C Reactive Protein, Cardiac – C-Reactive Protein is an inflammatory marker in the body. The hs-CRP test measures the level of CRP with much more sensitivity and is used in assessing the relative cardiovascular risk. In large studies, patients with elevated Cardiac CRP levels showed a 2-3 times increase in the risk of a heart attack. Value-$69. Your price-$35.

Chlamydia (Urine) – Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease that is caused by a bacteria called Chlamydia trachomatis. Symptoms from Chlamydia include burning with urination, discharge, and pain. Many men and women with Chlamydia may have no symptoms at all. People who have unprotected sex with multiple partners are at the highest risk. Chlamydia can affect fertility but usually can be effectively treated with common antibiotics. Value- $65. Your price-$30.

Chlamydia & Gonorrhea (Urine) – Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease that is caused by a bacteria called Chlamydia trachomatis. Symptoms from Chlamydia include burning with urination, discharge, and pain. Many men and women with Chlamydia may have no symptoms at all.

Gonorrhea, also known as the clap, is caused by a bacteria called Neisseria gonorrhea. Symptoms of Gonorrhea also include burning, pain, and discharge.

People who have unprotected sex with multiple partners are at the highest risk. Both diseases can affect fertility and can be treated with antibiotics. Value-$95. Your price-$60.

Complete Blood Count (CBC) – This test measures your CBC, or Complete Blood Count, with the Differential. Subcomponents include the WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, MCV, MCH, RDW, and Platelets.

The WBC count measures the number of white blood cells and breaks down the different types of cells (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils). Increased counts suggest infection or inflammation while decreased counts suggest a weakened immune system.

The Hemoglobin, RBC and Hematocrit check your level of red blood cells. A deficiency of red blood cells, known as anemia, can impact the oxygen being delivered to your body. Platelets are important for blood clotting. Too many platelets can cause excessive clotting while too few platelets can cause bleeding. Value-$50. Your Price- $25.

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel – This panel checks your Basic Metabolic Panel and your Hepatic, or Liver, Function tests.

Sodium and Potassium are important for nerve and muscle function. Bicarbonate and Chloride levels are related to the body’s acid-base balance and abnormalities can cause weakness or fatigue. The BUN and Creatinine test assesses your kidney function. Elevated levels may suggest dehydration or a kidney problem. The Glucose test screens for diabetes by measuring your blood sugar level. The Hepatic Function test measures your ALT/SGPT, Albumin, Alkaline Phosphatase, AST/SGOT, Bilirubin Direct and Total, and Total Protein and checks for liver inflammation and your overall nutritional status. Value-$70. Your price-$25.

Diabetes Maintenance Panel ( HgBA1C, Lipid, Urine Microalbumin, CMP)– This panel checks the Glucose and Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) blood levels and the Microalbumin urine level. Blood Glucose, also known as blood sugar, and the Hemoglobin A1c will help a diabetic check on the current status of glycemic control in the body. The Microalbumin test will check if there might be kidney damage related to diabetes or other diseases like hypertension. An 8-12 hour fast is recommended before getting tested. Value-$163. Your price-$48.

Drug Testing – Confidential urine or mucosal swab to check if a loved one is abusing drugs. The drug test checks for Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Methadone, Methamphetamine, Opiates, PCP, Propoxyphene, THC and Anti-Depressants. Value-$75. Your Price-$25.

Fatigue/Tired – This panel tests your Cardio CRP, CBC, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Cortisol, DHEA-Sulfate,Hemoglobin A1c, Iron & TIBC, Testosterone Total & Free, TSH, Vitamin B12, and Vitamin D levels. Value-$399. Your price-$150

Ferritin – This test measures the blood Ferritin level. Ferritin is a storage form of iron that reflects the total amount of iron stored in the body at any given time. Low ferritin levels suggest that the body’s iron stores are depleted. This can be due to insufficient intake or an increased need in the body for iron. Value-$60. Your price-$20.

FSH/LH – This panel tests your Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing Hormone (LH) levels.

FSH is produced by the pituitary gland and stimulates the ovaries to produce the follicle. A high FSH level (generally over 11) suggests that the follicles are not responding as well as they should be to FSH stimulation.

LH is important for ovulation in women. The LH level surges when the follicle is ready and causes release of the egg and transforms the remaining follicle into the corpus luteum to produce progesterone. The LH level is consistently high during menopause. LH is useful in assessing the onset of menopause and, in conjunction with the FSH, ascertaining the hormonal profile during ovulation. Value-$90. Your price-$60.

H. Pylori Serum -This is used to diagnose an infection due to the bacteria and to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment. H. pylori infection is associated with an increased risk of developing ulcers (peptic ulcer disease), chronic gastritis, and gastric (stomach) cancer. Value-$95. Your price-$50.

Healthy Heart Plus Panel ( Lipomed (NMR), CBC, CMP, C-Reactive Protein, Homocystine) The NMR LipoProfile test is a blood test that helps to identify patients at risk for lipid-related CHD by measuring both the number of LDL particles (LDL-P) and standard lipids. The hs-CRP test is used in assessing the relative cardiovascular risk. Levels less than 1.00mg/L are considered Low Risk. Levels from 1.00-3.00 mg/L are considered Average Risk. Levels > 3.00 mg/L are considered High Risk for cardiovascular disease. Homocysteine is an amino acid that is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease when elevated. Value-$250. Your Price-$194.

Hemoglobin A1C – The Hemoglobin A1c Test measures the Hemoglobin A1c level in the blood. The Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) is a good screening test for diabetes. It measures the average blood glucose over the past 120 days so that you can see how well your blood sugar has been controlled over the past few months. Value-$60. Your Price-$25.

INR with Prothrombin Time (PT) – The INR Test measures the blood INR level. The INR Test is used to assess several blood clotting pathways. Regular INR testing is done to help manage medication doses in patients taking warfarin / Coumadin. The PTT checks another part of the clotting pathway. Value-$60. Your Price-$25.

Iron & TIBC – This test measures the blood Iron, Iron Saturation, TIBC and UIBC levels. The Iron component measures the amount of iron circulating in the blood. The TIBC level measures how well proteins in the blood can bind iron. The Iron/TIBC ratio, or Iron Saturation, is calculated to determine how well the body binds iron and transports it. In iron deficiency anemia, the Serum Iron is typically low, the TIBC is high, and the Iron Saturation is low. Value-$65. Your Price-$30.

Lipase – The Lipase test checks the blood Lipase level. Lipase is a pancreatic enzyme. Elevated Lipase levels are associated with pancreatic inflammation and pancreatitis. Value-$90. Your Price-$20.

Low Libido/ Sex Drive Panel ( Testosterone, TSH, CMP, CBC)- Value-$399. Your Price-$90.

Menopause Panel (FSH/LH, Testosterone, TSH) –This blood test panel checks markers that might help identify the onset of menopause. Value-$160. Your Price-$100.
